Recently retired from non-profit leadership, she is currently the Austin-area coordinator of other foster volunteers of Cavalier Rescue USA (CR-USA), the longest standing, most well-established national non-profit group dedicated to finding loving forever homes for pure-bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. CR-USA is a 501(c)(3), formed ten years ago. Since inception, CR-USA has helped more than 4,000 dogs, spending more than $2.2 million on their care.

At RECA, she provided administrative support of a 50-member board of directors and its committees; managed staff; was responsible for operations and financial investments; and organized monthly programs, fund-raising activities, and member communications. Most recently, Janice served as the part-time Executive Director of the Headliners Foundation of Texas from September 2013 to December 2014. At the Headliners Foundation, she coordinated activities of the board of governors and its membership, organized programming, and oversaw the organization’s $2.8 million endowment fund.

In her career, she also has worked with a Texas state government agency and with law firms representing clients at the State Capitol.

Janice is a Central Texas native, a Certified Public Accountant, and a graduate of Southwest Texas State University.
