Kari Perkins

Costume Design

Kari Perkins has designed costumes for over 20 years.

She has worked with some of Austin’s most prolific dance choreographers such as: Ballet Austin’s Stephen Mills’ “Women and Light”, “Torso” and “Wall of Names”, and Sharir+Bustamante’s “For Four” and “Court 6.” Kari had also worked on Ariel Dance Theater’s “Gyre”, “Five2Ten”, “Flush”, and “Everything Between”; and Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Co.’s “Murmur”, “Royal Pair”, “Spin” and “Woman Smiling.” She has designed costumes for several BLL projects, including: “Zed”, “Blue Pearl Trilogy”, “Body Count” and “Devotion.” In addition to dance, Kari has designed 20 feature films, including: “Dazed and Confused”, “Fast Food Nation”, “A Scanner Darkly”, “Skateland”, “Bernie”, and recently completed “When Angels Sing.”
